Set Decoration
The Set Decoration Department decorates the sets in studio and on location for the production.

A combination of demonstrated skills such as basic carpentry, basic lamp rewiring, interior design, furniture packing and moving, drapery and upholstery, floral design, basic rigging, sewing, photography, breakdown and familiarity with basic power tools.
+ Set Decorator
The Set Decorator is responsible for the coordination and realization of the decoration of studio and location sets. Tasks include sourcing, keeping inventory of and replacing objects, monitoring the budget and delegating work. They work to decorate sets while being conscious of the camera in the placement of the dressing.
+ Assistant Set Decorator
The Assistant Set Decorator assists the Set Decorator to research, purchase, rent, lease, acquire and wrap all items and materials for the set decoration. They assume the responsibilities of the Set Decorator in their absence.
+ Lead Dresser
The Lead Dresser supervises the activities of the Set Decoration Department during the dressing and wrapping of sets, ensures that the proper tools and materials are available and completes tasks as assigned by the Set Decorator or Assistant Set Decorator.
+ Set Buyer
The Set Buyer is responsible for sourcing, renting, purchasing and wrapping items to be used to dress studio sets and locations.
+ On Set Dresser
The On Set Dresser is responsible for on set continuity, placement ,replacement ,care, safety and maintenance of the set dressing and on set greens.
+ Set Dresser
The Set Dresser assists in the safe and efficient packing, pick-up and return of all items and materials, as well as the movement, placement, preparation and wrap of the set dressing in studio and on location. Tasks also include the maintenance, replacement and listing of the inventory.
+ Draper/Upholsterer
The Draper (or Upholsterer) is responsible for building, altering and/or sewing curtains, drapes and other soft goods including upholstery.
+ Set Decorating Crew
The Set Decorating Crew assists the department as assigned by the Set Decorator, Assistant Set Decorator or Lead Dresser.
