COVID-19 Safety and Health Department
The COVID Safety and Health Department is responsible for ensuring the production or project is meeting current government and industry COVID-19 Safety and Health Guidelines. They are responsible for the implementation and enforcement of those guidelines through the employer’s COVID-19 safety and health procedures/protocols. All tasks listed in these positions may be allocated differently according to the needs of the production or project.

+ COVID-19 Safety and Health Supervisor
The COVID-19 Safety and Health Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all employees, contractors, subjects and visitors are advised of all COVID-19 procedures and protocols and are advised of known or reasonably foreseeable risk to safety and health in the area where the employee, contractor, subject and/or visitor is working. This includes working in cooperation with the heads of all departments, to oversee and ensure that all employees, contractors, subjects and visitors follow COVID-19 Safety & Health procedures/protocols including the use of all devices, clothing and personal protective equipment required. The COVID -19 Safety and Health Supervisor chairs the COVID-19 Safety and Health Committee; provides daily COVID-19 briefings to the 1st AD to verbally communicate over walkie to the crew at the beginning of each day and provide daily briefing regarding COVID-19 and preventative measures to call sheets and other daily documents. They are responsible for maintaining and tracking all inventory related to the maintenance of protocols. Some of these duties may be delegated to COVID-19 Safety and Health Coordinators and Assistant(s) where there is a team in place.
+ COVID-19 Safety and Health Coordinators and Assistants
Under the direction of the COVID-19 Supervisor, COVID-19 Safety and Health Coordinators and/or Assistants maintain inventory of PPE and cleaning supplies and ensures that appropriate PPE and supplies are available to cast, crew, contractors, subjects and visitors as required. They assist with collecting and documenting completion of COVID-19 screening questionnaires at work site entrances and assist the COVID-19 Safety and Health Supervisor as assigned.
+ COVID-19 Safety and Health Cleaners
COVID-19 Safety and Health Cleaners clean surfaces and equipment, maintain reusable PPE and ensure that cleaning supplies are available to cast, crew, contractors, subjects and visitors as required. They assist the COVID-19 Safety and Health Supervisor, Coordinator and Assistant as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for the COVID–19 Safety and Health Department:
Certified medical, first aid and/or safety training
COVID–19 Safety and Health specific training, as available
Familiarity with Manitoba Media Production Industry COVID19 Safety and Health Guide
