Composer

Composers have a high level of technical musical skill and are able to compose and notate original, high-quality scores with interesting and distinctive musical ideas that fit the style of project. Composers work closely with the Director, Producer, and Music Editor and communicate with the Sound Designer and Editor.

Recommended Skills for working as a Composer in Media Production:

  • Composing

  • Arranging music

  • Orchestration

  • Music Theory

 

Minimum Qualifications for Media Production Composers:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition or related experience

  • A professional collection of selected music samples
